Kaziranga Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Assam, India and is home to the world’s largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses. The sanctuary is also home to tigers, elephants, and a variety of other wildlife. Kaziranga is a popular tourist destination and the best time to visit is between November and April.
Kaziranga has two main divisions – the Central range and the Western range. The Central range is the more popular of the two, as it is home to the majority of the wildlife. The Western range is more remote and less visited by tourists.
Arrive at Kaziranga and check into your hotel or resort. After a short rest, embark on an evening jeep safari in the Central Range of Kaziranga National Park. Spot rhinos, deer, and if lucky, tigers in their natural habitat. Return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up early for a morning jeep safari in the Western Range, which is less crowded and ideal for wildlife photography. After the safari, visit a nearby Assamese village to experience local culture and cuisine, interact with villagers, and enjoy traditional snacks. Return to your hotel for lunch and leisure time.
Start your day with a unique elephant-back safari, which allows you to get close to the wildlife safely. Spot rhinos grazing near water bodies and capture memorable photographs. Return to the hotel, check out, and depart Kaziranga with unforgettable memories of its diverse wildlife and scenic beauty.
